Florida Climate Week, organized by VoLo Foundation, is set to kick off the 2024 edition of its transformative hybrid event series, scheduled from October 7 to 13. This free-access event, featuring virtual and in-person sessions, aims to bring together leaders, experts, and advocates to address Florida’s pressing climate challenges and foster sustainable solutions statewide.

VoLo Foundation invites nonprofit organizations, businesses, educational institutions, and concerned citizens promoting climate change solutions to join the conversation by applying to host a virtual or in-person event.

This initiative is part of VoLo Foundation’s mission to raise awareness, share knowledge, and drive practical solutions for a sustainable and resilient future for Florida. The week-long program underscores the importance of collective action and community engagement in combating climate change.

A key highlight of Florida Climate Week is its diverse lineup of speakers and organizations, bringing a wealth of expertise and perspectives to the discussions. These leaders are essential in guiding the state toward a greener future, providing insights into the latest climate science advancements, policy measures, and innovative technologies.

Over the years, the event has garnered broad support, with numerous cities, counties, and municipalities issuing proclamations to recognize and endorse the initiative. As of May 2024, Orange County, the City of Kissimmee, and the City of Winter Park have already issued proclamations. This widespread endorsement underscores the need for cohesive and collaborative efforts to address climate issues at all levels.

Central to Florida Climate Week is its dedicated website, serving as a key resource hub. The site facilitates information exchange, collaboration, and networking among like-minded individuals and organizations. Participants can access event schedules, speaker bios, and a variety of educational materials.

VoLo Foundation invites the public to stay connected through the website and social media channels, in addition to spreading the word about Florida Climate Week. Sharing information about the event with friends and family amplifies the message and enhances the collective effort to fortify Florida against challenges and build a more resilient state.
