VoLo Foundation is represented in COP27

VoLo Foundation is represented in the 27th Conference of Parties (COP) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), thanks to the Florida International University Law professor Mario Loyola and Solemi Hernandez, Southeast Regional Coordinator for Citizens’ Climate Lobby.

Mr. Loyola is the director of FIU’s Environmental Finance and Risk Management (EFRM) Program, and met with other academics, activists and leaders to advance key COP27 agenda items, including Climate Finance and Actions for Climate Empowerment. He also participated on a panel assessing the International Energy Agency’s World Energy Outlook.

Ms. Hernandez was key to set up the People’s Pavilion as a virtual networking space for events in and around COP27, to advance Actions for Climate Empowerment.

Both EFRM and CCL received grants from VoLo Foundation to develop their activities and support their participation in the COP27, held in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt.
