Friedreich’s Ataxia Research Alliance (FARA)

Affecting approximately 1 in 40,000 people, Friedreich’s ataxia (FA) is a rare genetic disease that causes difficulty walking, a loss of sensation in the arms and legs, and impaired speech. Friedreich’s Ataxia Research Alliance focuses on the resources and relationships needed to cure FA by raising the funds for research, promoting public awareness, and aligning scientists, patients, clinicians, government agencies, pharmaceutical companies, and other organizations dedicated to curing FA and related diseases.

Friedreich’s ataxia is a progressive neuromuscular disease, without an approved therapy, making this urgent work. VoLo’s support goes to helping expedite research aimed at slowing, stopping, and ultimately reversing the progression of FA.
