Based in Chicago, where politics are often at the forefront of much messaging, Water People Theater encourages its audiences to embrace a set of values consistent with social justice, through the use of performance art. We understand there are many ways to engage people in social and environmental issues, and therefore, relating important topics through art is another effective way to encourage people to embrace values related to social harmony for a better world and empower change in their communities.
With VoLo Foundation’s support, Water People Theater is able to make significant progress in their goal to form better human beings through the development of reinforcement of social values in children and adolescents through theater, as well as to form high-quality professionals in the theater and in their commitment to achieving a more just society.
