TRANSPORTATION: Commuting via personal car or public transit is sometimes necessary in our daily lives. Look for opportunities to walk or bike and utilize carpooling services when available. You will not only save money, but you’ll also be doing good for the environment by reducing your carbon footprint.
If you are unable to avoid using a personal car there are still ways you can help reduce your carbon footprint. When choosing a car opt for a fuel efficient hybrid or electric vehicle to lessen the impact on the environment. Combine errands to take fewer trips in your car. Avoid traffic and drive consciously by avoiding speeding, rapid acceleration and unnecessary breaking to help reduce your carbon output.
